About the challenge

EvoHacks 2026 is a beginner-friendly virtual hackathon for high school students passionate about artificial intelligence, technology, and real-world problem solving. This year's theme is "AI for Automation." Participants are challenged to design, build, and deploy innovative tools, applications, or scripts that use AI to automate everyday tasks, workflows, or processes.


Get started

 

  1. Register: Sign up individually or form a team (up to 4 members) directly on Devpost.

  2. Join the Community: Join our official Discord server to find teammates, ask questions, and chat with mentors.

  3. Brainstorm: Think about repetitive tasks in daily life, school, work, or developer workflows that can be automated using AI.

  4. Build & Submit: Build your project between October 10 and October 11, 2026, and submit your project page on Devpost before the deadline!

Requirements

What to Build

Build any functional hardware or software project that leverages artificial intelligence to automate a task or workflow. Potential ideas include:

 

  • Productivity Automations: AI agents or tools that organize notes, summarize emails, or schedule calendars.

  • Developer Tools: Scripts or workflows that automate code generation, unit testing, or deployment pipelines.

  • Smart Everyday Tools: Web or mobile applications that simplify routine personal tasks, study routines, or home organization.

  • Web3 & Cloud Workflows: Automated cloud data pipelines or decentralized workflows powered by AI models.

 

What to Submit

To complete your submission on Devpost, you must provide:

 

  1. Project Description: Detailed explanation of what your project does, how it works, and how AI is used for automation.

  2. Code Repository: Public link to your source code (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).

  3. Video Demo: A 2–3 minute video demonstration walking through the project features and code.

  4. Access Link / Build: Link to a live deployment, app store build, or setup instructions to test the project locally.
